Classification Of Power Dividers

1. Classification By The Number Of Ports:

It can be divided into two-power dividers, three-power dividers, four-power dividers, etc. The two-power divider is the most common type, which distributes the input signal power to two output ports evenly or in a certain proportion; the three-power divider distributes the input power to three output ports, and so on.

2. Classification By Power Distribution Ratio:

There are equal power distribution power dividers and unequal power distribution power dividers. The equal power distribution power divider distributes the input signal power evenly to each output port, such as the two output ports of the two-power divider have equal power; the unequal power distribution power divider distributes the input power to each output port according to different proportions according to actual needs, such as 1:3, 1:4 and other proportions.

3. Classification By Structural Form:

Including microstrip power dividers, stripline power dividers, waveguide power dividers, coaxial power dividers, etc. Microstrip power dividers have the advantages of small size, light weight, low cost and easy integration, and are widely used in microwave integrated circuits; waveguide power dividers are suitable for high-power and high-frequency occasions, and have higher power capacity and better transmission performance.
